150-Foot-Long Serpentine Sculpture Celebrates the Year of the Snake at World Trade Center Oculus

It's officially the Year of the Snake, and to celebrate, the World Trade Center Oculus has installed a large sculptural serpent. INFINITE HARMONY is a monumental serpentine structure created by Danielle Chang, founder of LUCKYRICE, internationally renowned artist Warren King, and architects Richard Gluckman and Andrew Weigand. The installation, which spans 150 feet and features augmented reality, will be on view until February 12, 2025.

Traveling Land Artist Creates Stunning Portraits Out of Found Pebbles Wherever He Goes

Every artist has their favorite material to create with, and for British artist Justin Bateman, it’s pebbles. He travels around Thailand, Indonesia, and the UK creating surprisingly detailed portraits of people and animals using found stones. Bateman’s stone mosaics are carefully placed on beaches, in parks, and on forest floors—right where the pebbles are sourced.

Artist Creates Mural Festival Dedicated to Deaf Artists and the Deaf Community [Interview]

While attending mural festivals over the years, artist Kate Fitzpatrick had an idea of her own: start a similar event dedicated to the deaf community. As a mural artist and child of deaf adults (CODA) herself, Fitzpatrick has recently become determined to curate a space predicated not on isolation but on connectivity. Historically, Fitzpatrick explains, audism has deprived the deaf community of experiences lacking accessibility or inclusion measures.
