Illustrated Floor Plans Feature Architecture and Set Design of Beloved Films

Artist Boryana Ilieva examines film architecture and set design in her project Floor Plan Croissant. This ongoing series of meticulously painted floor plans capture the cinematic spaces of famous films like Parasite (2019), Roma (2018), and Call Me By Your Name (2017). The idea for the series began after Ilieva attended a lecture in 2014 by Finnish architect Juhani Pallasmaa.

Artist Nikolaos Kafasis—also known as Nikolas Tower—combines watercolor and gouache to create rich, character-driven fantasy worlds. The artist draws upon several areas of inspiration in his paintings. His influences include motifs from Ancient Greek and Asian mythologies, as well as nature, anime, video games, and fantasy novels.

Now, artist Oksana Pashchenko brings the beloved fantasy characters into a playful new arc as pregnant women. Her enchanting illustrations place the Disney princesses and their sweethearts in the modern world as happy, expecting couples. Pashchenko began drawing the series during her maternity leave and used her own experience of pregnancy as inspiration.
