Service Therapy Dog Is Given โ€œDogtorateโ€ by University of Maryland Baltimore

Graduation is a big day for anybody, but it's especially exciting for a 5-year-old Rottweiler named Loki. The clever pup has been training as a service therapy dog while her owner, Dr. Caroline Benzel, was working through medical school. This Tuesday, she was awarded an honorary โ€œDogtorateโ€ of Medicine by the University of Maryland Baltimore as recognition for her contributions to patients at the hospital.

Watch Kids Erupt in an Impromptu Sing-Along as 7-Year-Old Performs in Talent Show

A 7-year-old named Cairo took to the stage at his schoolโ€™s talent show dressed as Bowser from the video game Super Mario Brothers. Sitting at a keyboard, he began singing โ€œPeachesโ€ from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was inspired by the game and released in theaters earlier in 2023. But thatโ€™s not all that happened during this performance.

72-Year-Old Graduates College and His 99-Year-Old Mom Proudly Attends the Ceremony

Learning is a lifelong journey. While some people go to college early, others have a different scholastic route. For Sam Kaplan, he spent 50 years out of the classroom before eventually finding his way back at the age of 68. After enrolling in Georgia Gwinnett College, he worked toward achieving a degree in Cinema and Media Arts. The now-72-year-old proudly crossed the stage on May 11 and was cheered on by his 99-year-old mother.
