Ukraine Comes Second in 2022 Winter Paralympics With 29 Medals

With the Games just finishing up in Beijing, China on March 13, Ukraine brought home an incredible total of 29 medals between the only two sports it entered—the biathlon and cross-country skiing—coming in second overall, behind China.

Canadian Millionaire Donated $3 Million to Plant 100,000 Daffodils That Now Bloom Every Spring

If you take a walk in the picturesque countryside of Sidmouth in southwest England you will be greeted by a beautiful sight. A field of over 150,000 daffodils are blooming in the coastal town, creating a stunning sea of petals that welcomes spring. This annual bloom would not be possible without the donation of a generous investment banker, who left £2.3 million (almost $3 million) to the Sidmouth community association upon his death.

The Humpback Whale Has Swum Its Way Back From Endangered Status in Australia

Humpback whales live in all the world's major oceans. They migrate great distances, scooping up plankton and krill with mouths full of baleen. Known for their grace, the magnificent creatures were also coveted by whalers. From the 19th century through the mid-20th century, their numbers were decimated by commercial whaling. At one point there were as few as 700 of the creatures swimming in the North Atlantic.
