Interview: Photographer Captures Images of Uncontacted Tribe in the Amazon

Brazilian photographer Ricardo Stuckert was in for a surprise as his helicopter was diverted over the Amazon due to a rainstorm. Stuckert, who is working on a project to photograph Brazil's uncontacted peoples, was with Indigenous people expert José Carlos Meirelles in the Acre region of north-west Brazil, near the Peruvian border, on their way to shoot a different tribe when they unexpectedly spotted a longhouse.

Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Darja Bilyk is a self-taught photographer whose talents range across all subjects including landscapes, destinations, objects, and portraiture. What makes Bilyk’s photography style particularly unique, however, is her passion for surrealism and romanticism, with magical elements incorporated in her compositions. The landscapes seen in Bilyk’s Fairytales series are often taken in remote destinations and seem to capture timeless moments in enchanted and distant lands.

Interview: Exploring the Wonderful World of Wild Foxes in Japan with Hiroki Inoue

Japanese photographer Hiroki Inoue is relentless in his pursuit to capture the pivotal moments that occur between man and animal. Born in Sapporo, and currently living in Higashikawa (a “photo town” in Hokkaido, Japan), Inoue makes use of the stunning natural life around his homeland as a focal point in his amazingly crisp shots. His photograph titled Wild Abandon (pictured above) initially caught our eye when it was selected as Photo of the Day on National Geographic.
