Bolivian Salt Flat Creates Amazing Walking on Water Illusion

Located at 11,995 feet above sea level, Salar de Uyuni is a mystifying salt flat in Altiplano, Bolivia that has a reflective nature when covered with water. The briny layer of land, created through the rainy season, transforms the otherwise plated pockets of dry salt into a giant mirror, giving the illusion of walking on water.

Mind-Bending Shadow Photos by Alexey Bednij

At first glance, you might think that photographer Alexey Bednij has a ton of patience, perfect timing, and a little luck. In all of his shadow photographs, everything is perfectly placed and aligned and nothing overlaps. However, upon further investigation, viewers start to realize that generally shadows don't cast in multiple directions! Digital manipulation or not, these photographs are captivating. The Russian artist creates all kinds of intriguing graphic shadow art.

Viral Instagram Photo of San Diego’s Fireworks Fail

It's the Instagram photo that's soaring through the web. Ben Baller took this incredible shot of one of the biggest fails in fireworks history. Last night, if you were in San Diego you may have witnessed the result of a technical glitch that caused what was suppose to be 18 minutes of fireworks to go off in about 15 seconds. Ironically, San Diego's Independence Day Fireworks spectacular is called the “Big Bay Boom.
