Giant ‘Crush Nazism’ Monument Outside Oslo Train Station Honors WWII Resistance Group

Outside Oslo's Eastern Railway Station (Østbanestasjonen) sits a glistening monument to Norway's most active World War II resistance group. The sculpture, created by Bjørn Melbye Gulliksen, was unveiled in 2015 and shows a shining hammer smashing a swastika.  Titled Knus nazismen (“Crush nazism”), the sculpture celebrates the efforts of the Osvald Group (Osvaldgruppen).

Artist Turns Old Cardboard Boxes Into 8-Foot-Tall Coral Reef Filled With Over 50 Marine Species

After opening up a package, most of us break down the cardboard box and bring it to the recycling bin, but not Josh Gluckstein. This London-based artist uses the material to create incredible sculptures of wildlife, transforming the brown stiff paper into animals like giraffes, lions, and gorillas. Most recently, he's pushed himself to complete his most ambitious project to date—an 8-foot-tall cardboard coral reef filled with over 50 different species of animals.

Dynamic Wire Sculptures Beautifully Balance Positive and Negative Space

Japanese artist Tomohiro Inaba is known for his dynamic sculptures, which tell a different story depending on where you stand. From one angle, his carefully crafted animals and human figures appear whole, while from another, they seem to disintegrate into thin air. Presented in a new solo exhibition fittingly titled A Story That You See, his work is a tribute to his visual storytelling.
