A curious child who developed an interest in art from a young age, Kahlo loved learning about the world as much as she loved spending time with her parents and sisters. Museo Casa Kahlo, a new museum honoring Kahlo’s family life, has just opened in the Mexican capital.

This Whimsical Merry-Go-Round Is a Work of Art Gliding With Childlike Wonder

The merry-go-round as we know it was invented some 200 years ago, and since then, these rides have delighted generations of children. Hoping to rekindle the 19th-century charm of the beloved carousel, Nantes-based production company La Machine has built a series of steampunk-looking, whimsical merry-go-rounds known as Les Machines de L’île (The Machines of the Island).
