Storybook African Safari Wedding with Elephants

Redditor Corey Perkins, aka per1993, has just recently renewed his vows to the love of his life in a breathtaking African wedding. After having met his Zimbabwe-born wife of three years while attending Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania (each on an athletics scholarship), the two wed in the United States. It wasn't until this year that the couple was able to finally fly over to the bride's homeland and throw a wedding for her family to attend.

The extraordinary celebration, which took place at the Chengeta Safari Lodge, was captured by local photographer Christopher Scott. The stunning images reveal a parade of elephants ceremoniously introducing the bride and her groom as they congregated under a massive, magnificent tree out in the open air. The scenic backdrop coupled with traditional Zimbabwean accents made for one incredibly beautiful ceremony.

Perkins' photo album managed to gain so much attention within the last week that he even wound up holding his own AMA on reddit, enthusiastically referring to himself as “the lucky guy who married the Zimbabwean in Africa on elephants!”
