The relationship between father and daughter is truly something special. Many proud pops would do anything for their little girls, but Texas-based Casey Fields recently went the extra mile by going out of his comfort zone to show his love. He posed with his 1-year-old daughter Lyla in pink tutus for an adorable photoshoot, showing there’s no shame in getting girly when it comes to bonding with his child.
The heartwarming photos were taken by Texas-based photographer Jenn Floyd, who wanted to create her own ballerina-inspired photoshoot with a twist. Casey and Lyla made the perfect subjects, as they were both naturals in front of the camera—not to mention they both look great in a pink tutu! From coloring-in together, to painting tiny toenails, each cute shot shows even manly men can bond with their daughters without losing their masculinity. “Casey showed up with adorable tutus, handmade by the baby's mom, whom he co-parents with,” Floyd told My Modern Met. “He was a little nervous at first but quickly fell into the role of being a loving, involved father, just as he is on any other day. The rest played out seamlessly.”
After the photoshoot, Floyd shared the images on Facebook, where she was overwhelmed by the positive response. “I intended for my followers to get a few smiles out of the session, but when we hit 1,000 shares in less than 12 hours, I was blown away,” she says. “Now we’re almost to 60,000 shares and we are still overwhelmed, excited, and speechless!”
As well as delighting her followers online, Floyd’s photoshoot will no doubt be a favorite collection of family photos among the Fields for years to come. “Casey Fields showed his most manly side—the side that isn't afraid to do whatever it takes to make memories with his daughter,” says Floyd. “Imagine 20 years from now…they will both cherish these!”
