LEGO Debuts 4,784-Piece ‘Star Wars’ Set Reimagining the Empire’s Iconic Destroyer Ship

Star Wars LEGO Set

Toy manufacturer LEGO is known for crafting challenging build sets that highlight iconic scenes from pop culture. They’ve recently unveiled their latest Star Wars set that depicts the Imperial Star Destroyer—a symbol of the Galactic Empire. You might remember the Destroyer as the ship that appeared in the opening scene of Star Wars: A New Hope as it fired at a Rebel Tantive IV starcraft.

Containing a staggering 4,784 LEGO pieces, this Ultimate Collector Series set includes elements of the Destroyer that, as a fan, you're sure to appreciate. It features swiveling guns, a tilting radar dish, engine exhausts, and surface details that made the original ship appear so menacing. To further pay homage to the beginning of A New Hope, there is also a to-scale version of the Rebel Tantive IV for you to build (and late abduct). Once completed, there's no reason to be be shy about all of the handiwork you've put into the Destroyer construction. The package includes a display stand with an information fact plaque to accompany it, for you to show off your fully built Destroyer.

The company is launching the Star Wars set to the public on October 1, 2019 for a price of $699. If you’re a LEGO VIP, you can order it now through their website.
