Korean Barista Turns Cups of Coffee into Amazing Works of Art

Many baristas use their drink-making talents to decorate the top of your latte with steamed milk art. Korean barista Kangbin Lee takes this trend to the next level—beyond the typical hearts and flowers—to create highly detailed drawings he calls cremart. This unique form of latte art uses the foamy part of the drink as an unconventional canvas for portraits of Disney characters, flowers, and animals. His most impressive creation, however, is hands-down Van Gogh's Starry Night.

Artist Uses Single Continuous Line to Create Striking Minimalist Tattoos

In 2015, we were mesmerized by Berlin-based artist Mo Ganji‘s collection of simplistic yet stunning line tattoos. Rendered only in black ink, each minimalist tattoo is created using a single, continuous line. Even with such a limited composition, Ganji is able to aptly represent and capture the recognizable contours of people and animals. In order to “create simple images with a strong impact,” Ganji employs a characteristic aesthetic that is understated yet bold.

Giant Sequoia Skyscraper Concept Lets You Live in the Trees

Architecture and design journal eVolo focuses on innovative design based on technological advances of the 21st century. Since 2006 they have run an annual Skyscraper Competition, inviting architects from around the globe to unleash their fantasy and create the skyscrapers of the future. One of 444 projects received was the Giant Sequoia Skyscraper by a group of South Korean architects, which won an honorable mention.
