New Charmingly Witty Animal Comics by Liz Climo

Animator and web comic artist Liz Climo is known for her charming sequential stories that feature a cast of witty animal characters with a warm sense of humor. When we last spoke to Climo, she had just released a book of delightful comics called Lobster Is the Best Medicine that showcases 75 never-before-seen cartoons. The charming one and two-panel pieces reflect amusing sentiments from everyday life told through the eyes of adorably-drawn snakes, rats, goats, and more.

Modular Tiny Home Can Easily Be Disassembled to Move Off the Grid With You

For those struck with a permanent sense of wanderlust, Estonian design collective Kodasema has created a tiny prefabricated home concept that can move with you. Called KODA, this minimalist-style structure can be disassembled and prepped to travel in about four hours. Better yet, it has off-road capabilities—KODA is made primarily of concrete and has a sturdy design that can be assembled on a variety of surfaces.

200-Year-Old Historic Books Reveal Hidden Fore-Edge Paintings

It’s commonplace to see illustrations grace the inside of a book, but long ago, some of the best imagery was displayed on the edge of a publication. Known as fore-edge painting, these incredible compositions were printed or drawn on the closed pages of a book. As the book lays flat, entire scenes span the stack of pages.
