Modern Tuscan Amphitheater Features Responsive Canopy

The Italian hill town of Peccioli is the site for the soon-to-be-built Parco Degli Angeli (Park of Angels), a complex that's meant to enjoy music and art. It features a covered, multi-seat amphitheater that can accommodate up to 800 people with interactive sculptures that overlook the idyllic Tuscan countryside. New York-based firm Asymptote Architecture was commissioned to design the space, and they envisioned the project as a sculptural canopy structure that contrasts the surrounding landscape.

Long-Lost Color Photos from 1939 Reveal Life in England on the Brink of WWII

After the death of his grandmother in February of this year, Barney Britton found an unexpected treasure while cleaning out her attic: a wooden box filled with dozens of 35mm slides documenting his grandparents' honeymoon trip in 1939. Although Britton's mother remembered seeing the photos as a child, they were long presumed to be lost after several decades and multiple house moves.

Ongoing Friendship Between a Girl and Her Adorable Cats

Since we first wrote about the heartwarming friendship between a girl and her cat, Russian photographer Andy Prokh has continued to enchant us with charming photos of his daughter Katherine growing up with her adorable British Shorthair cat LiLu. Although both Katherine and LiLu are now one year older, the affection between the two friends is as sweet as ever, with one significant change–the addition of a Scottish Strite kitten to the family.
