Tribute to Jim Henson, Creator of the Muppets

I Love You, Jim – Sebastien Mesnard More Muppets goodness! To celebrate Jim Henson, most well-known for creating the Muppets and working on Sesame Street, Nucleus has invited over 30 artists to contribute artwork to an exhibition dedicated to the famous American puppeteer. From now until January 2, 2012, Nucleus will be showcasing the tribute exhibition titled The Lovers, The Dreamers, And Me.

Singapore’s Vertical City Building

Have you ever seen a building that looked like it could house a city? Dutch architecture firm UNStudio has just released their design for Scott's Tower which will be in Singapore. The 31-story building will feature 231 apartments that offer impressive views of the surrounding area. The most striking part of the design is the two openings in the buildings facade called Sky Frames.

Japan’s Regal Dancing Monkeys

Photographer Hiroshi Watanabe's series entitled Suo Sarumawashi is populated with portraits of many present-day Japanese macaque monkeys festively adorned in costumes. Today, many people dress up their pets for their own amusement, because a tiny pup parading about in human clothing is just precious. However, in ancient Japan, the practice of dressing monkeys in samurai uniforms held more significance.
