A moment of peaceful protest earned Japanese photojournalist Yasuyoshi Chiba top honors at the 2020 World Press Photo contest. His image of a young man reading poetry aloud amidst protesters crying out for civilian rule in Sudan was named the 2020 World Press Photo of the Year.
