Italian graphic designer Andrea Minini produces all kinds of adorable abstract animal portraits by drawing complex arrangements of lines and curves in Adobe Illustrator. In the minimalist illustrations, Minini uses layer upon layer of overlapping lines, which perfectly blend together into detailed animal shapes like a puma, an owl, a koala, and a group of bats.
Each piece is a mesmerizing vector illustration that relies on both positive and negative space to form the creative shapes. The meticulous arrangement of various line thicknesses produces a striking contrast between rich blacks and crisp whites, and the forms that emerge on the page seem to have a playful personality.
