Self-taught artist Krystopher Sapp's mixed media pieces reveal his fascination with war and weaponry. His newest collection of pieces, entitled When a Good Man Goes to War, takes historic guns, such as an authentic Springfield rifle or .44 caliber handgun, and transforms them into ornate and visually striking art pieces. He creates creepy scenes using artifacts or images of war that he then frames. Some pieces are beautiful while others are surreal, but all are equally impressive. His works will be on display at the La Luz de Jesus gallery till the 29th of this month.
