Lately, we've seen the rise of modern gem encrusted jewelry. Russian-born, London-based international jewellery reporter Katerina Perez founded her own, dedicated jewelry blog back in 2013 to help celebrate the world's most exuisite and extraordinary jewels. She's a pro at finding what trends are happening right now in the field of jewelry and she'll introduce you to the young, up-and-coming designers who are the ones to watch.
Perusing through her website, we found that some of the hottest trends right now are animal-inspired jewelry, namely sea creatures, elephants, and birds. Another jewelry blog to check out is the one by Margo Raffaelli, a personal jewelry consultant who helps clients find exclusive pieces of jewelry for their private collections. She recently introduced us to Ichien Ballaga's bullfinches ring (as seen above). Made of 18-karat gold, white and black diamonds, rubies, colored sapphires, blue topaz and enamel, the dazzling ring is nothing short of extraordinary.
