Husband Announces Wife’s Pregnancy through Creative Belly Transformations

Simon Schaffrath and his wife are excitedly expecting their first child next month. To celebrate the special occasion, the couple collaborated on a series of unique photographs that even allowed their unborn son, Theodor, to participate.

To create these unconventional images, Schaffrath cleverly incorporated his partner's pregnant belly into the photo shoot. Her curvy form helped to mimic a variety of landscapes, and her stomach was covered in non-toxic and skin-tolerant materials, which transformed it into rolling hills and sand dunes. Miniature trees, rocks, and a small snowman furthered the illusion. After setting up the scenes, Schaffrath photographed them and retouched the images in Photoshop. He brought them to life by incorporating fantastical details like a shark in the water and a picturesque snowfall.

Schaffrath's finished photographs are charming and playful, perfect for Theodor's soon-to-be bedroom. In addition, each piece has its own inspirational message that will guide the boy through life.
