Two Adorable Squirrels Take Photos, Play Catch, and Build a Snowman

Russian photographer Vadim Trunov recently captured a couple of adorable squirrels having some wintertime fun. Set in a snow-covered forest outside of Voronezh, Russia, the cute and action-packed photos feature the creatures interacting with some human-made things as well as playing catch with a pine cone.

Trunov helped facilitate this lively play. He set out snowballs and a snowman and left his Canon DSLR alone, attached to a tripod. After the duo entered his makeshift set, they enthusiastically explored the props and even tussled over a nut. Trunov's photographic experiment makes for a delightful, candid look at what squirrels do when we aren't around.
