Architecture firm EFFEKT designed a magnificent, spiraling walkway called Camp Adventure Treetop Experience. It’s currently being constructed in Gisselfeld Klosters Skove preserved forest—one hour south of Copenhagen. The award-winning design comprises an epic 2,000-foot-long, curved wooden ramp that rises from the forest floor up to the observation deck, spiraling upwards to an impressive height of 150 feet. From the top, the structure provides a stunning, panoramic view of the entire forest.
The visually striking, sculptural walkway is described as “a unique experience in the forest canopy.” The structure’s two parts allow visitors to walk among the forest without harming the environment: on the lower walkway, visitors can explore younger areas of the preserved woodland, while on the upper walkway, visitors reach the ancient sky-scraping canopies. To ensure the gigantic structure fits aesthetically with its natural surroundings, it will be built entirely out of the forest’s felled trees.
The new Treetop Experience is scheduled to open mid-2018 and will be part of Camp Adventure, an existing adventure sports facility that includes treetop climbing and aerial zip-lines.

Visitors can take a rest at a stepped seating pocket to look around and learn about the forest.
The structure’s changing curvature gives space to trees growing around it and the continuous slope gives accessibility to any visitor.
The official plans show different areas of the walkway, including a voliere which will house many different birds.
