Watch a Musician Create Lush Melodies on 33 Wine Glasses Filled With Water

Musician Petr Spatina makes melodies with drinking glasses. What might be seen as an elaborate party trick is actually a musical discipline. The practice comprises upright wine glasses filled with water at varying levels. These “instruments” are altogether referred to as a glass harp. To make a sound, Spatina runs his fingers around the rim of the glasses in different combinations and the vibrations create a variety of notes.

Man Fakes His Entire Life for a Month With Convincing AI-Generated Photos

Can you use artificial intelligence (AI) to fake a life? In the case of Kyle Vorbach, you can. The writer and director used Stable Diffusion AI image generator to create realistic photos of events that never happened. He did this for a whole month, generating believable but totally fake images—much to the shock of his friends and family. Vorbach produced a video detailing his foray into constructing his AI-generated life.

The annual announcement was revealed on Wednesday, December 7 in recognition that Zelenskyy has kept the world’s attention trained on Ukraine as the Russian invasion is now going on 10 months without an end in sight.

Photographer Captures Portraits of ‘Grandma Divers’ Who Free Dive Deep Into the Sea [Interview]

A group of women in the Korean province of Jeju dives deep beneath the water to collect seafood and other aquatic treasures. Known as Haenyeo (meaning “sea women”) they are part of a tradition that dates back to 434 CE. But they aren’t young people, as you might expect from a group who routinely conquers depths between 32 and 65 feet and can hold their breath for up to two minutes.
