Jessica Stewart is a Staff Editor and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. James Webb Space Telescope Captures Spectacular Auroras on Jupiter

The James Webb Space Telescope gave us a glimpse of Jupiter in a photo taken during its commissioning phase. But that image pales in comparison to the fully-processed JWST Jupiter photos that have just been released. Taken by its Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam), the two photographs show the solar system's largest planet in incredible detail. Auroras, hazes, moons, and rings are just some of the detail that is clearly visible in the two photographs.

Winners of 2022 Nature TTL Photographer of the Year Contest Celebrate Raw Beauty of Nature

Over 8,000 photos were entered into the 2022 Nature TTL Photographer of the Year contest. Incredible images of landscapes and wildlife took home awards across many different categories. But, in the end, American photographer Dennis Stogsdill was named Nature TTL Photographer of the Year and took home a cash prize of £1,500 (approximately $1,773) for his glimpse at nature in its most primal state.

Split-Second Photo Captures Osprey With Symmetrical Reflection

A trip to a local nature reserve to photograph a green heron transformed into something much more for bird photographer Andy Woo. Two years ago, Woo joined a friend on a mission to photograph the heron, only to witness an incredible feat of agility by an osprey. His photo of the osprey barely grazing the water, with its reflection in perfect symmetry, has now become one of his most popular images.
