Brilliant Brewery Produces Edible Six-Pack Rings to Help Save Marine Life

We all know that those plastic six-pack rings holding together our favorite beverages have a nasty tendency to leach back into the environment and wreak havoc for wildlife. That’s why a new development by Saltwater Brewery of Delray Beach, Florida has a lot of people talking. The company, in partnership with an organization called We Believers, has created a biodegradable, compostable, and edible six-pack ring.

Photographer Documents the Last Hunter-Gatherer Tribe of the Himalayas

Germany-based Nepalese documentary photographer Ram Paudel recently released a fascinating photo project that explores the lifestyle of a nomadic tribe called the Raute. This traditional community, who's primarily settled into the foothills of the Himalayas, migrates month by month through the forests of western Nepal. Paudel returned to his home country and trekked deep into the area to capture an intimate glimpse of their ancient way of life.

100-Year-Old Photos Capture Authentic Daily Life in Japan

These rare shots of vintage Japan during 1908 are thanks to the acute artistic eye of Arnold Genthe. The German-born American scholar honed his photographic talent on the streets, spending his off-time roaming through his city with a partially hidden camera in attempts of recording memorable moments. This intriguing series was collected during a 6-month visit to Japan, during which Genthe managed to share his perspective of the vivid daily experiences of its local citizens.
