Beautifully Radiant Circle of Life

Time and time again, nature astounds us with its beauty. Artist Kathy Klein draws inspiration from its magnificence to create these beautifully radiant mandalas which she refers to as danmalas. Danmala is a portmanteau of two words in Sanskrit: dan (the giver) and mala (garland of flowers).

Klein uses a variety of materials including flower petals, pine cones, seeds, vegetables, rocks, leaves and other plant life-like cacti to form her symmetrical paradise pieces. She offers different colors, patterns, and textures in each danmala. Some even look good enough to eat!
