Whether it's Toronto or Tokyo, cities cannot be fully understood until they are seen at night. Artist Keita Morimoto captures the special ambiance of urban settings after dark in his electric oil paintings. With a neon-color palette and sparse solitary figures, his canvases reflect the unique experience of living in distinct corners of a metropolis at odd hours. Previously based in Toronto, Morimoto relocated to Tokyo in 2021.

A UK-based artist known as My Dog Sighs creates stunning murals that will make you look twice. For several years now, they have been adding realistic paintings of eyes onto walls across England. Each blue, green, and purple iris contains a mysterious reflection that tells a story. One of their most recent projects was completed in Plymouth, depicting a single large eye with feathery long lashes and an emerald green center.
