Stentzel uses clothing, kitchen utensils, books, bread, and more to create a cast of colorful characters and silly scenes. Giving a glimpse into her creative mind, her series is aptly titled Household Surrealism.

Artist Seamlessly Places Beloved Pop Culture Icons Into Old Military Paintings

An Australian artist known as scadarts (aka mandal0re) creates stately portraits of characters from pop culture with a distinct twist. Each digital collage features the figure donning military attire and posing for a style of portrait formerly reserved for royalty. The images have a historical feel with a muted palette, strong lighting, and tempered brushstrokes that recall the work of the famed painter Caravaggio.

Couple Builds Miniature Mid-Century Modern House Inspired by Their Childhood Homes

From baking to drawing, many of us have had more time to spend on our hobbies during lockdown. Married couple Annie Kampfe and Cliff Donnelly from Leewood, Kansas have been particularly busy though. They’ve been building their own Mini Modern House, a multi-story dollhouse based on the style of their childhood homes. The couple has had experience in interior design and remodeling work, but they’ve never made anything at this scale.
