46-Foot-Tall Mural Beautifully Expresses a Balance Between Strength, Fragility, and Resilience

Every year for the past decade, the Alpine city of Grenoble, in southeastern France, becomes a beacon for street art. That annual transformation is thanks in large part to the Street Art Festival of Grenoble, which, since 2015, has brought more than 400 murals to the city by artists from around the world. Artist Makes Plea for Endangered Indigenous Languages With Powerful Chandelier-Like Piece

There are 68 languages spoken throughout Mexico; most of them are Indigenous. Many of these languages are now endangered, as few speakers of them continue to age and there are scarce resources to teach them to new generations. Aware that each language contains a world of its own, artist Ana Hernández is making a plea for their survival with a touching piece titled La Manda.

Symphony of Sounds Are Unleashed as Porcelain Bowls Float and Clang in Giant Basin Installation

Artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot explores sound and movement in an expansive installation now on view at Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection in Paris. Titled clinamen, the multisensory experience features an 18-meter (59-foot) diameter pool in the museum’s Rotunda filled with water that reflects the sky through its dome. The bright blue basin is a veritable ocean as a fleet of porcelain bowls is set in motion by a gentle current.
