Breathtaking Impressionist Paintings of Bluebonnets by Julian Onderdonk

As I was looking over photos of bluebonnets, I came across these breathtaking paintings of Texas' famous flowers by Julian Onderdonk. The Texas impressionist painter, who lived from 1882 to 1922, was fascinated with bluebonnets and he would often feature fields of them in his work. Born in San Antonio, Texas to parents who were also painters, Onderdonk lived in New York awhile to train in art before returning back to San Antonio in 1909.

With images shrouded in mystery, Logan Zillmer's work will leave you wondering how the story will unfold. The minimal landscape of his home in the midwest provides the perfect backdrop for his surreal photos. His journey into photography started in high school shooting film, but as an adult he needed a creative outlet to escape the drudgery of the 9 to 5 job, so his interest in photography turned conceptual.

Riveting Trash-Based Sculptures Mirror Significant Environmental Issues

Alejandro Durn's Washed Up was recently honored with the 2015 Project Launch Juror's Award, which recognizes an outstanding photographer working with fine art or a documentary. For his project, Durn chose to take on the noticeable environmental issues that are currently affecting Sian Ka'an, Mexico's largest federally-protected reserve.  The insightful artist started out by identifying waste from fifty nations on six continents, which washed ashore on Sian Ka'an.

Vintage Photos Fuse to Create Fantastically Surreal Landscape Collages

California-based collage artist Eugenia Loli fuses vintage photographs to create fantastically surreal compositions. Her colorful scenes often depict people in strange lands that conjure vivid dreams, where outer space is just outside our window and entire cityscapes are at the bottom of a cave. In essence, they seem to communicate a feeling of wanderlust as subjects experience new places. Loli wasn't always an artist.
