18 Excellent Graffiti Illusions

What is it about graffiti that separate it from all other art forms? First, it's done outside. The element of danger adds to the piece, making us appreciate the elusive artist's work even more. Next, it's usually done in a specific place – carefully selected, so that the context becomes just as relevant as the piece. Urban Street Art: Vhils Scratches the Surface (5 pics + video)

Portuguese-born Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is an amazing, super-talented street artist that you've probably never heard of. Using tools like a power drill, chisel, and different types of paint, Vhils literally scratches off the surface of buildings to create his masterpieces. Magnificent Modern Murals by El Mac

El Mac (or The Mac) is a Los Angeles born artist who's been studying art since childhood. He draws inspiration from LA's Mexican and Chicano culture as well as from pin-up and religious art. We love his photorealistic depiction of women and how uses color. Creating unique and one-of-a-kind murals and graffiti, he's been commissioned to paint all across the US as well as in France, Denmark and Mexico.
