Entire Alphabet Found on the Wing Patterns of Butterflies

Norwegian nature photographer Kjell Bloch Sandved has devoted his photographic career to capturing the beauty of the world we live in and along the way, amassed a collection of butterfly and moth images with interesting patterns on their wings. Sanved's keen eye took notice of the spectacular shapes the natural designs came in, recognizing their resemblance to letters of the alphabet. As a result, he formed the Butterfly Alphabet.

Stunning Shots of Fly Geyser, Nevada’s Hidden Treasure

As you all know by now, we love finding extraordinary destinations off the beaten path like Lake Baikal in Siberia. Today, we bring you another one which can only be described as surreal or otherworldly. Fly Geyser (or Fly Ranch Geyser) is a a small geothermal geyser that is located approximately 20 miles north of Gerlach, in Washoe County, Nevada.

We first introduced Harrison's eye-catching photos last year and he has spent the last 13 months expanding his collection of colorful swirls in the night sky.
