Artist Layers Acrylic Landscape Photos into Multidimensional Installations

In his ongoing series of contemplative and conceptual Layer Drawings, Japanese artist Nobuhiro Nakanishi continues to artistically explore perspectives and alter perceptions. Nakanishi composes his eye-catching installations with photographs taken over an extended period of time. Depicting unassuming environments and natural phenomena like tranquil forests and simple sunsets, the photos capture crisp snapshots of moments that would otherwise be forgotten. To evoke a sense of three-dimensionality, Nakanishi prints the photos on plexiglass acrylic and layers each sheet in chronological order.

Loving Elderly Couple Took Photo Together in Same Spot Every Month Until Wife’s Tragic Passing

In 1964, noted New Zealand-born, British-based photographer Ken Griffiths inadvertently captured the realities of loss and love through his series, In An English Country Garden. Spectacular Drone Photos Capture the Densely Packed ‘Walled City’ in Hong Kong

Photographer Andy Yeung continues his look at Hong Kong with a new series of stunning aerial photographs. Flying his drone high over the Kowloon Walled City, Yeung gives us a glimpse at the densely packed geometry of Hong Kong's high flying apartment blocks. With Walled City, the photographer explores the largely ungoverned settlement in Kowloon City. Once a Chinese military fort, it was transformed into a housing enclave, with the population exploding after World War II.
