Thousands of People Join ‘Stand Up for Science’ Events Across the U.S. and Worldwide

Last week, thousands of federal workers, researchers, and allies participated in the Stand Up for Science event in Washington, D.C., in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The Friday, March 7 date was a studied choice, with organizers hoping to make an impression on the U.S. Senate which was in session a few blocks away. The goal? To protest the large-scale layoffs and budget cuts suffered by science-led agencies due to decisions by the Trump administration.

Blue Ghost Lander Celebrates Successful Moon Landing by Capturing Spectacular Images of Earth

Lunar history has been made. After a 45-day transit and traveling more than 2.8 million miles, Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost lander touched down on the Moon, carrying vital NASA payloads. With this, Firefly has become the first commercial company to achieve a fully successful lunar landing after several failed attempts from other private enterprises. Following a mid-January launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Blue Ghost landed on the Moon at 3:34 a.m.

But do you know how it sounds? A Ring camera installed at a home in Prince Edward Island, Canada, caught both video and audio of a meteorite's crash.
