In his series titled Golden Years, Santa Monica advertising photographer Dean Bradshaw depicts elderly athletes leading an active lifestyle with zest. A muted color scheme, clothing from decades past and vibrant facial expressions deliver a vintage feel with fresh attitude. Silver-haired women wearing '80s-era aerobics outfits grapple on a wrestling mat and strain to pump iron. White-mustached men pose menacingly on a basketball court and talk up their game sitting on the bleachers.

Native Dogs Represented as World Cup Soccer Players

With their love of chasing balls and running in packs, dogs would no doubt love to participate in the 2014 World Cup. Animal photography website Life on White imagined what they'd look like if they suited up, and placed different breeds' heads onto team jerseys. Each pairing of dog and uniform corresponds to the canine's country of origin, like the Shiba Inu in Japan or the German Shepherd in Deutschland.

Sometimes we don't catch all of the cool moves, the power plays, or the incredible surfing flips that happen in a blink of an eye. Red Bull decided to partner with various photographers in order to capture a frame-by-frame sequence of energetic athletes at their best.

Vintage Illustrations of the the World’s Greatest Footballers

Andrea Pirlo With Euro 2012 just concluding and Spain arguably becoming the best team ever, we thought it was the perfect time to feature these awesome illustrations of the world's greatest footballers by Stanley Chow. The Manchester-based artist thinks that Pirlo was the player of the tournament and I'd be hard-pressed to disagree with him, especially with that brilliant chipped penalty shot against Germany in the semis.
