Great Advice for Creatives

Sometimes, all we need…all we seek…is encouragement….some good advice. Here's Ira Glass, an American public radio personality, and host and producer of the radio and television show This American Life, sharing what he's learned throughout the years. It's applicable to anyone who's pursuing a creative path. Listen to Glass speak these words (and then some) in this great video. It's inspiring…to say the least. Love his self-deprecating humor. Over the last few years, A-cero has built up quite the reputation with their bold and modern designs. Sotogrande House, located in Cadiz, Spain, is yet another shining example of this by the Spanish architectural firm. The 4,300 sq ft house is made of concrete and is decked out in all white.

Candyland-Inspired Japanese Nightclub

American architects Tiffany Dahlen and Virginia Melnyk conceptualized a radical nightclub in Japan that's a direct response to the vibrant youth culture of Harajuku and the high-end fashion district of Omontesando. The nightclub features a large entrance hall, sushi restaurant, sake bar, music lounge and two VIP lounges. “The project took four months to design and a myriad of changes through the development,” says Melnyk.

Car Crash Sculptures

When we see sports cars violently wrapped around a pole, questions immediately start forming inside our heads. How did they find cars like this? Were they taken from real accidents? German artist Dirk Skreber purchased tthe red Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder and black Hyundai Tiburon with the intention of smashing them. He found a vehicle-testing facility in Ohio and choreographed both accidents, before exhibiting them at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
