Artist Crafts Incredibly Cute Felted Cats That Look Like Children’s Book Characters

Felt Cats by Elizabeth Delektorskaya

From fuzzy felted fungus to wooly forest creatures, the traditional needle felting technique is becoming more and more popular among crafters of all things cute. Russian artist Elizabeth Delektorskaya is no exception—she creates adorable felt cats that look like they could come to life at any second.

With their large, lifelike glass eyes, wispy whiskers, pointed ears, and patterned fur, each unique felted feline looks like a character from a children’s story. Some even have their own bags, scarves, and collars, adding even more personality to each little character. But perhaps the cutest feature of Delektorskaya’s larger cats is their padded paws that come in either pink or black—just like a real cat!

Each cat takes around 3-7 hours to complete and is crafted by hand from 100% natural sheep's wool—you can just imagine how incredibly soft they are to touch. However, Delektorskaya stresses that her cats should be handled carefully, as they’re intended as collectors items.
