While some artists are attracted to the organic forms found in nature, others gravitate towards the clean lines of cityscapes. However, if you're not used to drawing architecture, it can seem like an intimidating subject. Fortunately, by breaking structures down into geometric shapes, you'll find that it is not as difficult as you think.

In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw a simple house by breaking down the process into nine easy-to-follow steps with illustrations. All you'll need to follow along is a pencil, eraser, pen, some paper, and reference photos (if you want to add your own creative touch to the abode). Ready to get started? Then let's draw a house!

Lastly, it is time to finish the drawing by going over it in ink. So, using your pen of choice, carefully trace over all of the pencil lines. Afterward, you can choose to add more texture to the house and/or fill it in with color.

All done!
