Herakut’s Powerful New Works

German art duo Herakut is back with some exciting new pieces! In their show, called After the Laughter, at LeBasse Projects in Los Angeles' Chinatown, they'll present a series of powerful works that include sculptures, photography and wall installations. The exhibition opens tomorrow, February 25, 2012.

Aside from the fully immersive installation, you'll be able to pick up their second book which is also called After the Laughter. It's a hand-made scrapbook with 240 pages where the duo share both the good and the bad from the second half of their years working together, 2009-2011. “It is just as personal as all their pieces and that makes it a piece of art in itself,” says LeBasse.

On opening night, February 25, the artists will be on hand to sign the books. Now, here's a quick preview of the sad but sweet pieces you can expect to find.
