It's safe to say that Golden Retrievers Lizzie and Ally are best friends. The sandy-colored girls do everything together, from snuggling in blankets and bedsheets to adventuring in the great outdoors. They can even be caught “twinning” in matching clothes and flower crowns. Adorable as they are endearing, the pups’ human (Fran Lauren) is responsible for snapping their charming portraits and sharing them on their popular Instagram account, @lizzie.bear.
Like all Insta-famous animals, Lizzie and Ally don’t know just how beloved they are by people across the globe. They are like any other happy dogs who enjoy, among other things, to swim. “If there is any water nearby the girls will be right in,” Lauren says. “There are many lakes in the Ottawa region where I take them, but their favorite place (and mine) is the beach on the east coast of Maine. We travel there in the summer and on most days you’ll find us on the beach at sunrise.” During this magical time of day, Lizzie and Ally run free on the sand and Lauren gets the chance to capture the beautiful colors in the sky.
