Singalila National Park is an extremely popular spot in Eastern India. Located at an altitude of more than 7,000 feet above sea level and amazing views of the Himalayas, it's a dream destination for mountain lovers. However, astrophotographer Soumyadeep Mukherjee visited this scenic spot for a different reason—the presence of a dark, Bortle 2 sky, which gave him the chance to capture breathtaking shots of the Milky Way and, most importantly, of comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS.

Photographer Captures Adorable Japanese Pika With Its Tongue Sticking Out

Wildlife photographer Takashi Okashi explores Japan’s forests, islands, and mountains to capture some of the most endearing animals in their natural habitats. His photos feature adorable baby foxes, playful chipmunks, and even flying squirrels in their sweetest, most candid moments. In one of his latest shots, he managed to capture a Japanese pika with its tiny tongue sticking out. The pika was photographed in Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japan’s main islands.
