‘Norigami’ Sushi Tacos Blend the Best of Both Worlds into One Tasty Treat

Created by Norigami, a pop-up shop based in Southern California, the sushi taco pairs the yummy ingredients of Japanese food with the portable and convenient nature of tacos.

Enchanting Flowers Suspended in Light Bulbs Glisten Like Precious Jewels

Flower artist and medical researcher Rie Okitsu has created a way to enjoy beautiful blooms in an unlikely setting—via Edison-style light bulbs. Through their company the Flowerium, they seemingly freeze bouquets in time. Delicate petals are suspended in special liquid that allows them to maintain their vibrancy for a long time. As they gently sway in the unique flower light bulb vase, the petals shine like jewels.

Picturesque Mountain Hut Offers Modern Luxury Off the Dolomite Slopes

If wining and dining amidst luxurious views of the Italian Dolomites sounds like a dream vacation, you can now do exactly that. In 2015, Peter Pichler Architecture and Pavol Mikolajcak Architekt won a competition to design the stunning Obereggen Mountain Hut. The building, which also contains a restaurant, towers over the picturesque Oberholz Slope at 2,096 meters (6,877 feet) above sea level.

Winners of the International Photographer of the Year Awards Demonstrate Photography’s Versatility

Danish photographer Jens Juul has taken home the top prize of the 2016 International Photographer of the Year (IPOTY) Awards. Selected from 3,870 entries, Juul won the competition with his black and white series Six Degrees of Copenhagen. The wide range of categories and subcategories for professional and amateur photographers shows the breadth and depth of the photography community. Familiar names like Mattia Passarini and Chris Forsyth are just some of the winners of the 2016 competition.
