Quicksilver’s New Wetsuit Looks Like an Actual Business Suit

This new wetsuit will have men everywhere surfing in style! Quicksilver Japan recently announced the release of True Wetsuits, a high quality wetsuit that you can wear both in the boardroom and at the beach. While the suit jacket and pants are made of stretchy neoprene, the shirt is made with Dryflight, a water repellent fabric developed by Quiksilver and 3M. Gorgeously Surreal Portraits Painted to Resemble Double Vision

Dubbed the “Queen of Double Eyes,” artist Alex Garant depicts beautiful women that are multi-eyed and in double vision. The gorgeously-painted oil portraits have facial features that are multiplied and offset from one another. This distortion of eyes, noses, and mouths makes her realistic-looking subjects appear unfocused as their bodies are combined with geometric patterns and Art Nouveau-esque flourishes.

Boston Bombing Survivor Crosses This Year’s Finish Line on Her New Prosthetic Leg

Rebekah Gregory was one of the many runners injured by a double bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. She nearly lost her life, as well as the life of her young son who was waiting for her near the finish line. As a result of the injuries sustained from the deadly blast, Rebekah has undergone 35 surgeries, including one last November to amputate her left leg.

Artist Cal Lane fuses the industrial strength of steel and iron with the delicacy of lacework in her series of intricately cut sculptures called “industrial doilies.” Fine filigree designs of flowers, graceful scallops, and mythical creatures adorn the metal surfaces of discarded car hoods, cages, and shovels, creating an intriguing sense of contrast and juxtaposition.
