Special “Anti-Paparazzi Clothing” Ruins Photos by Excessively Reflecting Light

At first glance, these clothes looks like your average suit, hat, scarf, and hoodie. Once a camera flash hits them, though, their secret weapon is revealed. The garments ruin flash photographs by blowing out the pictures with excessive reflective light. DJ Chris Holmes designed the apparel as “anti-paparazzi clothing,” and he calls the line Flashback. Powerfully Revealing Portraits of Mothers’ Bodies After Childbirth

Arizona-based photographer and body positivity advocate Jade Beall seeks to provide an alternative to the heavily airbrushed images of women presented by mass media through her series The Bodies of Mothers: A Beautiful Body Project. The project, which has been published as a book, portrays women in a raw, honest way rarely seen on the covers of magazines or on TV screens.

Touching Photos of Rescue Dogs with Their Tattooed Owners

To combat the prejudices felt against both tattooed people and rescue dogs, photographer Brian Batista started a heartwarming project. He would photograph them together. Tattoos and Rescues began back in September 2012 in Birmingham, Alabama and it shows photos of rescue dogs with their loving owners. Pit bulls, with their bad reputation, are the ones often featured in this series.

Linear Designs of Minimalist Tattoos Gracefully Flow Across Bodies

Using intricate, crisscrossing lines and a minimalist aesthetic, Chaim Machlev creates beautifully-unconventional body art. The Berlin-based tattoo artist etches flowing abstract designs on skin that often spans the length of an arm, leg, or back. Sometimes, the compositions will continue from one body part to another. Regardless of their placement, Machlev's tattoos feature elegant, sweeping marks that look like twisted structures.
