Intricate Miniature Tape, Thread, and Toothbrush Sculptures

Japanese visual artist Takahiro Iwasaki manipulates common objects, transforming them into intricately designed sculptures. From carving into rolls of tape and carefully assembling the loose threads from towels and socks to architecturally constructing the bristles from toothbrushes, Iwasaki repurposes ordinary objects into extraordinary landscapes and tiny monuments in his Out of Disorder series.

Clever Animal Illustrations Formed Out of Letters

Melbourne-based graphic designer Dan Fleming combines typography with playful illustrations in this series, entitled Word Animals. Specializing in brand identity and logo design, the half British, half Australian artist uses the actual letters from each creature's name to build all kinds of silhouetted animals, including a crocodile, a platypus, a giraffe, a penguin, a pig, a snail, even an owl.

Slinkachu Recreates Tiny Scenes of Kids Amidst War

UK-based street artist Slinkachu, best known for his ongoing Little People Project, has just released three new installations commissioned by O2 for 20 Years of War Child, an exhibition celebrating 20 years of the charity whose mission is to support children affected by war. Each miniature scene created by the artist depicts a different injustice faced by kids amidst war around the world.

He strategically creates holes or slits in walls, coaxing light into various formations. His works are often interactive, providing the viewer with a memorable and unique experience.
