3D Grass Globe at Paris City Hall

Artist François Abélanet plays tricks on our eyes, making us believe there is a three-dimensional grass globe sitting right in the middle of Paris' City Hall. When viewed at different angles, however, the illusion quickly falls apart. Who to believe? covers 16,000 sq ft (1500 sq m) and measures 330 ft (100 m) long. Approximately 90 gardeners worked for five days to assemble the entire display.

Famous Face Paintings

Starry Night by Vincent Van GoghPhotographer Andy Alcala puts his own unique twist on self-portraits with this mesmerizing series. Alcala uses his own face as a canvas, painting it with recognizable artwork by legendary greats such as Vincent van Gogh, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol. There's even a Banksy! I love the originality in this series. Alcala's creative mind is certainly serving him well.

White Concrete House

Over the last few years, A-cero has built up quite the reputation with their bold and modern designs. Sotogrande House, located in Cadiz, Spain, is yet another shining example of this by the Spanish architectural firm. The 4,300 sq ft house is made of concrete and is decked out in all white.

Smart Ad Campaign Gets Parents Involved

Don't we just love creative advertising like this? Congrats to Cramer-Krasselt for working with COA Youth and Family Centers in coming up with this awesome campaign. To help promote parent-child interaction, they set up large puzzles, word searches, mazes, books, rulers and more around the streets of Milwaukee. Called “guerrilla classrooms,” the displays are designed to teach real-world applications on various subjects like math, science, geography and reading. The ultimate goal?
