Majestic Animals Envisioned as Hundreds of Multicolored Dots

London-based artist Ana Enshina uses her creative eye to envision majestic animals as an abundance of multicolored spots. Dot by dot, the watercolorist forms diverse creatures including a statuesque, bright pink flamingo, a graceful whale suspended in the sea, and a distinguished peacock with a lovely array of feathers. Whether she's focusing on animals found on land or sea, the painter manages to capture each creature in a rainbow of brilliant and lively colors.

Oregon’s “Lost Lake” Drains Down a Perplexing Hole

Mount Hood National Forest's Lost Lake is the source of a natural phenomenon that has Oregon residents stumped. When winter arrives, nearby streams drain into the lake and cause it to fill with water. While this occurrence isn't out of the ordinary, the lake does undergo a confusing transformation in the spring. As winter comes to a close, the lake drains like one ginormous bathtub.

Artist’s Gorgeous Mural on Sunken Ship Changes with Tide Levels

Last spring, we marveled over artist Sean Yoro (aka Hula) and his gorgeous seaside murals that were painted while he was on a paddle board. Now, he's recently completed another stunning painting using the same unconventional practice. Hula found an old sunken ship off the coast of Hawaii and transformed the rusty vessel into an aquatic art gallery with his piece titled Ho'i Mai (translation: Come Back).

Photographer Mauro Maione transports us to the idyllic Tuscan countryside in his series of gorgeous landscape images. Often depicting grandiose shots, Maione's photos showcase all of the vibrant natural beauty that the gently-rolling hills have to offer. Small cottages and trees dot the landscape, but it's the skies that really steal the show. At times, their coloring appears almost unreal, depicting sublime purples, pinks, and blues that occasionally mingle with blankets of ethereal fog.
