Artist Uses 68,000 Colorful Clothespins to Form a Massive Tornado

Martin Huberman of Normal Studio has created the Sunrise Tender Vortex, a sculptural wonder that's made of exactly 68,000 colorful clothespins, and acts as a life-size wooden tornado. “Tender Vortex attempts to provide a simple and honest translation of human fascination with natural phenomena,” the artist explains. “Evidencing the sentiment that leads us to observe, study, grasp, represent, and even wish to ‘inhabit' those phenomena, if only for an instant.
