Remarkable Winners of the 2023 International Photography Awards

The 20th anniversary of the International Photography Awards (IPA) brings together a stunning collection of images from professional and amateur photographers around the world. Tens of thousands of images underwent a rigorous evaluation by an international panel of judges before winners were selected in diverse categories like People, Nature, Advertising, and Fine Art. While all the photographers created incredible imagery, two were singled out from the 22 category winners for special awards.

Baltimore-based artist LaToya Hobbs is presenting a series of recent woodblock prints and mixed-media portraits at Nashville's Frist Art Museum. The powerful pieces demonstrate how Hobbs deftly merges her printmaking and painting practices to create work that speaks to Black womanhood, family, labor, and self-care. Often using her friends and family as models, much of her work starts via collaborative photography sessions with her husband Ariston Jacks.

25th Annual ‘Sculpture by the Sea’ Brings 100 Artworks to Australian Coast

Once a year, part of the Australian coastline is transformed into an outdoor museum during the Sculpture by the Sea festival. For the 25th edition, over 100 works made by artists from across the globe were installed along the sandy shores, inviting visitors to gaze at art while enjoying the beach. The Sculpture by the Sea festival is the largest sculpture exhibition in the world, attracting more than 500,000 visitors during its three-week exhibition.
