Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds Recreate Wham! Cover Photo

Nearly 4o years ago, Wham! debuted their 1986 holiday single “Last Christmas.” The single came along with a black and white cover photo of musicians George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, which has remained an iconic portrayal of the duo. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney—who jointly own UK soccer team Wrexham—appear to recreate this photo just in time for the holidays. Though it's actually a Photoshop by a Wrexham fan named Todd Cross (aka DarthPunk69)

Futuristic Bookstore in China Inspired by the Celestial World

China is known for its futuristic bookstores and, thanks to Li Xiang of the design firm X+Living, a busy marketplace in the country's Jiangsu province has a new contemporary place to purchase books. Huai’an Zhongshuge's interior is brought to life by enormous three-dimensional structures that recall astronomical instruments. Rising up, these celestial rings are true centerpieces of the store.

Dreamy Aquatic Ecosystems Visualized in Vibrant Mixed-Media Paintings

Like portals to another world, Yellena James creates colorful ecosystems that bloom on the canvas. The Portland-based artist paints amorphous flora and fauna in vibrant hues which come together to form an aquatic dreamscape. Rather than rely on just one medium, James incorporates acrylics, gouache, as well as different inks in her work. This magical combination gives these paintings a watery depth in which some shades appear deeper and richer, while others seem more buoyant.
